Lace up your sneakers and join walkers and runners on the tree-lined streets of Avondale Estates for the 41st annual Labor Day 5K and 1-mile race.
Date & Time
This race is held annually on Labor Day. Please note the following registration and race times:

- On-site registration starts at 7:30 a.m.
- 1-Mile Race starts at 8:30 a.m.
- 5K Race starts at 9 a.m.
Location
Both races start and end at Willis Park, at the corner of Dartmouth Avenue and Clarendon Place. The courses are run on City streets with traffic control provided.
Registration
Race-day registration will be available by the starting line, but participants are encouraged to register online beforehand (online registration closes 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 29).
Ages
Racers of all ages and athletic levels are invited to participate.
Chip Timing
Both races include chip timing for more accurate results.
Awards
Medals will be given to the top age-group finishers (6 and under, 7-10, 11-14) for the Novice 1-Mile Race, and the top age-group finishers in the 5K Main Race. Overall winners will receive a trophy.

Charitable Cause
This event was created to benefit The Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association. Proceeds benefit the Emory ALS Center. An additional donation can be made directly to Emory University-ALS Center, Office of Gift Records, 1762 Clifton Road NE, Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA 30322.

Not Allowed
Please note that no bicycles, rollerblades or dogs are allowed in this event.
